Sorry for not updating in a few days. Been revising which means I'm effectively banned from the computer. Ivy got work to do all week so ill try to get on when I can.
Now on to more important things. Hopefully ill be quitting work in March along with a majority of student service counter staff. That'll show Waitrose for under paying and mis-treating their younger staff. Lets see how they handle the stuck-up, shit faced customers with us gone.
Talking about customers, I received a complaint today. Now compared to other employees, I confider myself fairly helpful and polite, but when someone forces me to abandon my breakfast, come down stairs and then complain that I have no idea what IM doing, I tend to get pretty pissed off.
With that out of the way, I'd like to congratulate Wickit for successfully knocking up his wife for the second time. I don't know why I should be congratulating him as the thing isn't even born yet but good luck anyway.

How can you be so ungrateful to such a good company? Have you ever considered how much the package was worth? I am sorry if you are unhappy at Waitrose, but maybe it is not the place for you. How much did you expect to earn as a student serving at the counter? Have you ever realised the knowledge gap between say, a good fish specialist who will be in charge of training you and ensuring the sales increase and the wastage decreases (for all our benefit)and that involves that this person will be held accountable for all those things, and a part-timer, whom I have no doubt is helpful and works hard too, but sadly rarely reaches the high standards of the former? Get real. Anyway this is why we have ARP's... You'll never going to earn £10/hour, not even that highly graded specialist either. You should take it for what it is, a student job for you, but please, do not criticise the company. Maybe you should work for Asda and their laughable bonuses (£300/head last year) and so-called benefits (who needs IVF treatment?!) vs. J.Lewis (£1500/head)and 50% subsidies on many activities such as horse-riding, shooting, canooeing... ticket subsidies on your favourite concerts and museums, a non contributory pension scheme (it is of prime importance to me), a 12% discount, coming to 25% in John Lewis stores after 3 years, help from the Registrar, say, you have nowhere to go because your husband has left you, well, no one will let you sleep rough! Not to forget of course our Holiday places, like Ambleside Park, it is extremely luxurious and very affordable (£15/night), special rates for all sorts of things, from legal fees to pushbikes... I think you will regret quickly to have left Waitrose as not many places offer nice benefits and a culture of respect.
